HOT ! Meyer Bros Connoisseur Series New York Rubber - Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece｜ Other Products

THE NEW YORK MEYER IS BACK WITH A BANG!
Regarded as the pinnacle of Meyer Bros. hard rubber mouthpieces crafted by jj Babbitt, this particular model stands among the most coveted in the industry. An authentic Meyer Bros. New York mouthpiece, it holds the legacy of being played by renowned jazz musician Cannonball Adderley during the zenith of his career. Initially retrofitted with a brass retention ring to repair a cracked shank, this modification not only restored the mouthpiece but also enhanced its performance and projection. The re-released model now features the brass ring as standard, adding a stylish touch.
This isn't a mere copy or replica; it is molded in the original mold, with the authentic cores, and faced with the original facing cams. Offering exceptional control, sound, and playability, this Meyer Bros. New York mouthpiece is a testament to jj Babbitt's unwavering commitment to consistent, high-quality manufacturing, drawing upon over a century of experience in mouthpiece craftsmanship. Tailored to deliver the sought-after vintage jazz sound, it has become the preferred choice for professionals and players of varying skill levels.

STAFF REVIEW
"This re-release is an interesting nod to the famous Cannonball model and it certainly seems to go down the path of emphasising the power and bite that good New York Meyers can offer. It seemed sensible to compare it with my own Meyer (which admittedly has been slightly modified) and I found the Connoisseur model to have a degree more edge and snap but still retained that typical Meyer smoothness that we all know and love. In my opinion, this would make a great lead alto piece." - Jim @ SAX
