Paul John Peated Select Cask is the smoky cask-strength expression from John Distilleries in Goa, India. Indian whisky is traditionally unpeated, so Paul John imports peat from Scotland to kiln its Indian six-row barley, then distills in copper pot stills and matures in ex-bourbon casks in Goa's tropical heat. It is bottled at 55.5% ABV (111 proof), non chill-filtered and uncolored, in a 750ml bottle. The nose is peat smoke, honey, vanilla and citrus. The palate brings smoke, caramel and spice with a subtle sweetness of muscovado and demerara sugar, a hint of hickory and cocoa, and a long, warming, smoky finish. Fast tropical maturation gives it a richness that peated Scotch of similar age rarely matches. It is a must-try for Islay fans and one of the best-value cask-strength peated whiskies on the shelf.Buy Paul John Peated Select Cask Indian Single Malt Whisky online with fast shipping right to your door.
