Stunning suit of Edo period armor. Cuirass is made out of gold-lacquered Honkozane small iron pieces, and covered with stunningly beautiful hair-spread braid lacing. The kabuto helmet features a very unique iron bowl called Tou-Kanmuri, or oriental crown. Registered as Tokubetsu Kicho paper "Important historical armor" by The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor. The original storage box, display stand, and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with. The helmet has a Hanabishi crest that has been used by many warlords/shogun including Takeda family.This item is now on display at SAMURAI STORE Tokyo. Book your visit to see the actual item now!
